Finding a good steak is the most elusive of all the other food types. Many people have never had a good steak so they suggest a steak restaurant that does not serve nice steak.  A good beef steak must come from an animal who was grain fed for a year before becoming a steak. The grain used is usually corn which produces more fatty marbling in the beef which leads to more flavorful and tender steaks.  Many cattle are 100% grass fed which does not make for good tasting beef.

The best steaks come from the USA (USDA Prime) and Japan produces some excellent wagyu and Kobe beef. These steaks have a smooth texture and a “melt in your mouth” tenderness. Once you have tasted a quality steak, you’ll never enjoy anything different.
